Scott Florek has been a licensed physical therapist for over 20 years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences and Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1993. He studied and taught the Anatomy and Physiology program at a massage therapy school in Miami, FL before entering his physical therapy studies. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Masters in Physical Therapy in 1997 earning the Chancellor's Award. Scott follows a practice philosophy that founded our clinic in 2012 and does much of his continuing education in the Fascial Strain/Counterstrain methods of treatment which is effective with both acute and chronic injuries and pain syndromes. He has taught soft tissue techniques within the physical therapy program at Shenandoah University. He is also an avid pilot holding a private pilot certificate and working on his instrument rating. He flies with the Martinsburg squadron of the Civil Air Patrol.
Dawn Florek has been a licensed physical therapist for over 20 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Maryland in 1993. She completed her graduate work in 1997 from Nova Southeastern University with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. Dawn has worked in many areas of Physical Therapy from hospital acute settings, home health, and outpatient therapy.
Dawn developed strong hands on skills through her training with Fascial Strain/Counterstrain and finds that this approach has been beneficial for treating both acute and chronic injuries in her clients. She has supplemented her treatment experience with coursework in Pilates, and core stabilization which is a program offered in this clinic.
Dawn feels privileged to work and grow with PTSW, Inc. along side her husband, Scott Florek. Her passion for improving patient’s lifestyles in combination with her years of experience allows her to offer a comprehensive approach to helping patients reach their goals.
Jeff Landy has been a licensed physical therapist since graduating from Shenandoah University in 2015, practicing in the states of VA and WV. He holds a certification in trigger-point dry needling, and has experience treating a vast array of muscle and joint dysfunctions using this technique. He has a passion for helping people who have chronic pain and disability, including ailments such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Currently, Jeff is pursuing a specialization in pelvic floor health. In his free time, he likes to run long distances and nap with his two 100-pound dogs.
Shannon serves as our Practice Office Manager. She has experience running both large and small practices and is trained extensively in our office EMR system. She has experience in handling all of our billing and accounts receivable. She also assists with marketing and customer service and can assist with answering any questions you may have regarding our practice.
